A brief introduction outlining initiatives in the motor industry eg hybrid cars, materials used in production as well as identifying factors that affect purchasing decisions may be of benefit to students before embarking on this task. This unit assumes that teachers have given the students an outline of how they want a design brief developed. Links have been provided however if you have other sites that you feel will support students to complete the task you are encouraged to share them with the students. The assessment criteria have been written matching to progression points. 3 means that a student is working at expected standard for a year 10 student (5.75-6.00) when assessed against the Victorian Essential Learning Standards. Due to the fact that this is a team activity teachers need to consider this work in conjunction with other work done to develop an on balance judgement for reporting purposes. You should assess the Project Managers on an ongoing basis throughout the task as their work will not be included in the presentation to the class. |
