ACADEMIC ACHIEVERS
| Bayside College offers a special entry program for primary school students who have shown a high level of academic achievement and application to their studies. There are Year 7 Academic Achievers classes on both the Williamstown Campus and the Altona North Campus, with students staying together as a group to the end of Year 9. Students who are selected for the Academic Achievers class will receive an enriched and extended teaching and learning program. The College expects that the thinking skills and academic abilities of each student will continue to develop and strengthen as they move up through the College.

Junior Campus - Year 7 to Year 9
| The Curriculum studied is based on the program for the mainstream classes in English, Mathematics, SOSE, Technology, The Arts and Science. However the Academic Achievers classes will study these courses in greater depth and complexity. Teachers will provide challenging and stimulating learning activities to extend the thinking abilities, and will expect students to take up these challenges enthusiastically. In addition, students will have the opportunity to extend their learning outside the College by participating on a one week bus Excursion or other off-campus activity. They will also have the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument and become a member of the Junior Band.

Senior Campus - Year 10 to Year 12
| From Year 10 to Year 12 all students will be at the Paisley Senior Campus. In Year 10 the Academic Achievers students will undertake advanced learning programs in Maths and English and will commence their VCE with a VCE subject of their choice. They will undertake other Year 10 elective subjects, and consequently will separate into different classes rather than be together. In Years 11 and 12 students will have the opportunity to follow their own study preferences and choose a course from the very wide range of subjects that the College is able to offer.
The College is confident that benefits the Academic Achievers students will have received in their enriched learning program and development of study skills from
Year 7, should be reflected in their VCE results at the end of Year 12. These students should aim to have as many career opportunities as possible open to them when they move on from Bayside College.
